Social activities in libraries
Our libraries are home to a wide range of opportunities to meet others in your community, whatever age you are. Here’s what’s on offer…

FOML Archive Group
The Meadows Library will be 100 years old on 11 March 2025!
The Friends of Meadows Library has formed an archive group to work alongside the library to hold a celebratory event to mark this milestone.
FOML would like to invite residents, former library patrons, and individuals with memories, photographs, and anecdotes of past times, including experiences during the war years and other celebratory events at the library are invited to meet at The Meadows Library to put together pieces of the history of the last 100 years.
They are also interested in connecting with previous librarians who served at this library.
Students eager to contribute to documenting the library’s history are encouraged to participate. Additionally, we welcome suggestions for event activities and ideas for inviting guests to the upcoming event.
Every Monday, 2pm to 4pm
