Libraries are hosting exciting events and activities with the help of our amazing volunteers. We have lots of opportunities for you to get involved and make a difference.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with libraries is a fantastic way to be a part of your local community, make new friends, and learn new skills. It’s a great opportunity to have fun while making a positive impact.
- Duke Of Edinburgh (DofE) – Our libraries are great places to offer young people the opportunity to complete sections of the Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) Award.
- Lead Volunteer Outdoor Gardening Group – Help us lead a small group of volunteers to maintain the shared garden at Hyson Green Library in The Mary Potter Centre.
- Team Volunteer Outdoor Gardening Group – We need volunteers who can help to maintain the shared garden at Hyson Green Library in The Mary Potter Centre.
- Community Library Gardener (Meadows Library) – We need volunteers to help maintain and look after the gardens at The Meadows Library.
- Wargaming Club Volunteer (Central Library)– Do you have an interest in Wargaming, or perhaps are looking for an introduction to the hobby? We are looking for volunteers to help us at our regular Saturday club at the Nottingham Central Library between 10am and 3pm.
