Are you in need of a new read? Return your old books and borrow something new!

  • We are still running the Click and Collect service where staff select books for you at their libraries from the information you give us.
  • Overdue charges will not apply for Nottingham City Library Members until 31 July. Inspire (Nottinghamshire County Library members) please check on their website but you can return your loans now to any Nottingham or Inspire (Nottinghamshire) Library.
  • You can place reservations (holds) to collect from the available Nottingham City Libraries via the online catalogue, or if the book you’d like is at one of our available libraries you can ask us for it by filling in a Click & Collect form and selecting that library for collection.
  • Inter-Library Loans are still not available until further notice.
  • We also have thousands of eBooks, eAudio, eMagazines and eNewspapers that you can read at home on a PC, iPad, Tablet or smartphone.

Do you want to know more about Using the Library?

If you are a member of Nottingham City Libraries, you can borrow up to 24 loans at a time, which covers you for: books, newspapers & magazines, talking books, single music scores and language courses.

As well as the 24 loans from a library you can also sign up to our eBooks, eAudio and eNewspapers & eMagazines services with the same membership.
