
JOIN NOTTINGHAM CITY LIBRARIES
It’s free to join the library giving you access to all Nottingham City Libraries and a range of facilities in Nottingham, including books & eResources, computers, printing & wifi, activities & events and more.
From 12 April the majority of our libraries will re-open with a change to facilities and services. You will now be able to join online (see below) or by visiting a library, please contact the library in advance for details | See our dedicated page for the latest information on facilities, including limited browsing, Click & Collect and PC & printing services

Join online today
Applying online for a library card is easy, there’s a quick form to complete, when our team have worked on your application they’ll email your library membership details to you ASAP. When you receive the card number and have your chosen PIN/password you can start using our services straight away.
You can apply for a library card if you:
- Live in Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Derby City and the surrounding counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
- Work or study in Nottingham but don’t live here.
Remember, you don’t need to apply for a new card if:
- You have a card, but forgot your PIN/Password. Click here to request a new PIN.
- You have lost your card. Email reception.centrallibrary@nottinghamcity.gov.uk with your name, address and date of birth and we’ll check our records. We will then email and post out to you your new card details.
