Home Library Service
Unable to visit the library?
The Home Library Service (HLS) is free and delivers library books across Nottingham City to customers who are unable to get to their local library for reasons such as:
- Disability
- Limited mobility
- Illness
- Caring responsibilities

How to access the HLS
The Home Library Service is now coordinated from six library hubs across the city. Please contact your nearest HLS library hub to find out more or alternatively email: HLS@nottinghamcity.gov.uk
The service is run by a team of dedicated volunteers who really make a difference to our customers daily lives.
“During the COVID pandemic I felt lost without having library books and then a friend mentioned the Home Library Service. I did not hesitate to join and it’s great that the books of my choice are delivered to me in person. At present my sleeping pattern is upside down and I am often awake in the early hours, so instead of tossing and turning, now I open a book. A good book acts like a friend and I feel that I am not alone”
