Chess Clubs are opening!

For the expert tactician or the brand-new player, we are opening chess clubs in our libraries as well as having boards available for general use in the library space.

Chess Club

We are running chess clubs in two of our libraries. No need to sign up or call in, it is simply a drop in session for those to attend and play against other likeminded players whether they be children or adults.

Are you a veteran of the game who has played for many years? Then feel free to come down and test your mettle against likeminded opponents in the library!

Or perhaps you are a brand-new player who is looking to pick up the basics? We have staff and volunteers on hand to help you with those initial first steps on your road to learning the game and experiencing one of the most beloved games in history.

Libraries with clubs will also have access available to the boards for use during any day they are open, simply ask staff for more info.
