IT Support in Libraries

Do you need help with computers, tablets, or smartphones? Our libraries are a great place to begin.

Our staff and Library IT Volunteers offer friendly and informal one-to-one help for FREE. Whether you have a quick question or want to develop your basic computer skills through a guided support session.

Drop-in and booked help sessions with our Library IT Volunteers are available at Hyson Green and Dales Centre Libraries  Drop-ins are sometimes busy so you may have to wait a little while.  If you think you will need more than 10 minutes help or you are fairly new to computers, please make an appointment in advance with the library.

Hyson Green Library: Mondays 10.30am to 12.30pm and Thursdays 11am to 1pm.

Dales Centre Library: Mondays – 3pm to 5pm.

Using your computer or other device

All about the very basics of keyboard, mouse and turning safely on and off to touchscreens and managing files.  You can do the whole course and see extra resources, or choose any one of these topics.
