Tell us a bit about you and your business:

“Hi, I’m Sarah, one of the Co-Founders of Shift Key Cyber. With almost thirty years’ experience in IT and Cyber Security, I am a NCSC certified Security and information Risk Adviser and I have technical background primarily in Microsoft technologies. I’ve provided security governance, compliance and risk management to both HMG and private sector clients.

“And I’m Dawn, also Co-Founder of Shift Key Cyber. I’ve come with cyber and business experience across different market sectors including retail, local and central government, and law enforcement. I also come with a background in Psychology with a focus on identifying the human factors within cyber. I’m also a member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security and British Computer Society.

“Together we run our business, Shift Key Cyber, which is an information security consultancy offering tailored solutions to businesses to help them identify, remediate, and manage risk. We offer a range of services including virtual Chief Information Security Officer, ISO 27001 implementations, Cyber Essentials Plus and cyber security assessments. Our consultants bring a wide variety of experience from different industry sectors, allowing us to develop solutions which align with business objectives. Our services and solutions are derived from a “People Process Technology” approach allowing mitigation of risks and improved resilience against cyber threats. Shift Key Cyber is a member of the UK Cyber Security Council.”

How has BIPC Nottinghamshire helped your business?

“It’s been great. BIPC helped us establish where we were on our journey and offered information around the vast resources and databases available in the libraries to assist our business with analysis. We’ve also used the services to plan our next steps which in our case was around marketing.
