Explore some handy resources that will help you look after your physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Reading Well for mental health
We have a great collection of books chosen by health professionals and the Reading Agency to help people affected by a range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, panic, body image issues and eating disorders. As well as handy guides to overcoming these conditions and common treatments such as CBT, the collection includes real-life accounts of people with lived experience of mental health conditions and their stories.
The titles are available across our libraries and can be reserved using the catalogue.

Reading well for long-term conditions
A second collection is aimed at those with long-term health conditions including heart disease, lung disease, inflammatory bowel disorders, arthritis, stroke and diabetes, as well as issues common to a range of conditions such as pain, chronic fatigue and sleep problems, and titles for carers.
Titles are available across our libraries or reserved using the catalogue.

Reading for wellbeing
Reading for pleasure, whether a book, magazine, comic, newspaper or anything else, is great for helping us to unwind and boosting our mental wellbeing.
Here are a couple of lists of recommended titles to make you smile!
