We’re delighted to be joining our friends at Inspire for this year’s charity knitting challenge – Twiddlers! Twiddlers are knitted handwarmers with different textures and additions such as buttons, designed for people with dementia to use as a soother or for sensory stimulation.
How do I get involved?
You can find a choice of two patterns to download from Inspire’s website along with a range of video tutorials from the designer of the pattern, Juliet Bernard.
Bring your completed Twiddlers to any city library before the end of July.
We will then display them at Bulwell Riverside Library before they are distributed to people with dementia by Dementia Action Network Nottinghamshire.
Enjoy crafting?
We host knitting, crochet or sewing groups in many of our libraries – come along and meet like-minded people in your area over a cup of tea or coffee while working on your latest project or learning a new skill. We’d love to see you there!
