“I am delighted to mark the launch of Reading Well for Families, a new collection designed to support parents-to-be and new parents through the crucial first 1001 days of parenthood. I know this can be a challenging yet incredibly rewarding time, and it’s essential that families have access to the resources they need to navigate the emotional landscape of new parenthood.
This collection, which addresses sensitive but important topics such as mental health for new parents, baby loss, and birth trauma, and it aligns perfectly with our ‘Best Start in Life’ priority within the refreshed Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
We believe that by strengthening infant-parent relationships and supporting parents in their role in early child development, we are laying the foundation for healthier, happier families.
The Reading Well for Families collection is a testament to our commitment to providing accessible, reliable information and support. We know that many families are facing unique and complex challenges, and it is our hope that this collection will serve as a valuable tool, offering comfort, guidance, and a sense of community. We are grateful for the ongoing collaboration with our partners and services, and we encourage everyone working with new and expectant families to share this invaluable resource widely. By working together, we can ensure that all families have the support they need for the best possible start.”
