Books on library shelves

Welcome Back!

All you need to know about changes to our Libraries service due to Coronavirus (Covid-19) and how we are re-opening.

Our top priority is to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff, we will update this dedicated page with any changes to our service.

Great News!

From Monday 12 April we can welcome you back in to the majority of our libraries.

You will be able to:

  • Visit the library to browse the shelves and choose your own books (please come alone or with members of your household / support bubble only)
  • Bring children in to the library to choose new books (All under 12s must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Return items borrowed from any Nottingham or Nottinghamshire (Inspire) Library
  • Use a library PC and print/scan/copy (it is still advisable to book in advance due to limited PC numbers and time will be limited to allow for cleaning)
  • Order your books with the Click and Collect service from all open libraries and place reservations on the online library catalogue

Following Step 2 of the Government roadmap means we still have safety measures in place, including temporary opening hours, face coverings indoors and Track & Trace.

Unfortunately we cannot offer all our services and facilities yet.

For example, we cannot offer sit in and read / study spaces, events and regular clubs yet. We will update this page whenever there are any changes. More information on our services that you can use and how we will make your visit safe can be found further down this page.
