Free Advice with NLS Legal

NLS Legal is Nottingham Law School’s multi award-winning fully regulated teaching law firm, that provides free legal advice on a wide range of areas to those who cannot afford or otherwise access legal advice. Book a slot to attend a free confidential legal advice session with their student volunteers, who will be assisted and supervised by their experienced lawyers. After this initial information gathering interview, we will provide written legal advice following the meeting (usually within three weeks).
If we are unable to provide you with advice on your matter for any reason, for example, the matter falls outside the scope of our service, we will signpost you to other organisations that might be able to assist wherever possible.

We can provide advice in relation to:
• Family
• Employment
• Consumer and contractual disputes
• Housing
• Welfare benefits (complex enquiries such as appeals – for more general welfare advice please contact Clifton Advice Centre)
Book An Appointment
To book an appointment, please complete the form by clicking the button opposite or email nlslegal@ntu.ac.uk with a brief description of your matter, mentioning in the subject “Clifton Outreach Session”.
You can also book by phone on 0115 848 4262. Please provide your name and contact details, and state that you are ringing in relation to the Clifton Outreach Session. We will get back to you to confirm if you have been allocated a slot.
Slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
