Dinosaur activities in libraries
We are theming our half term holiday activities to fit in with our friends at Wollaton Hall who are hosting the Titus: T Rex is King exhibition.
In libraries from 18-30 October there will be dinosaur activities and a dinosaur trail. Every child who completes the trail will receive a free book (whilst stocks last). So pop down to your local library for a roarsome time!
The Plesiosaur’s Neck
Local author Jonathan Emmett has teamed up with Dr Adam Smith, a curator at Wollaton Hall to write The Plesiosaur’s Neck. A very funny and entertaining rhyming book, which aims to find out why plesiosaurs had such long necks!
To hear the book being read and for activities visit the National Literacy Trust’s website. You can also read the book in your local library.
Dinosaur story and craft
Below we have videos made by local library staff last summer when we had a dinosaur themed week to celebrate StoryParks. You can listen to the hilarious The Dinosaur that Pooped the Bed by Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter and learn how to make a dinosaur garden using items from around the house and garden.
