Join us during Dementia Action Week
During Dementia Action Week we are hosting a Dementia Friends session in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society.
Dementia Friends is a light touch information awareness session with a mission to educate, reduce stigma and spread knowledge about dementia. During the hour-long session, attendees will learn about how dementia affects the brain and how to live well with dementia (with the right support).
Attendees are asked to make a pledge and take action to reduce barriers for people in their community living with dementia. This can be as simple as sharing their Dementia Friends badge on social media or using their understanding to show others more patience.
