ART-ificial Intelligence: Show Me A Story About AI
A Responsible AI (RAI-UK) exhibition
Exploring Narratives around AI
Nottingham Central Library are proud to partner with The University of Nottingham and their project, ARTificial Intelligence: Show me a story about AI.
From February to April, the library showcases a series of physical art pieces in the atrium space, as well as digital pieces in the Huddle space, all created in response to RAI-UK’s call out for artists to explore their relationship with AI. RAI-UK’s Art-I project outlines ‘Mainstream narratives in the media about AI tend to the extreme, whether dystopian or utopian.
This project has two aims. First, to move beyond these extremist narratives by exploring and understanding the stories that artists themselves are telling about AI, and what values underpin these narratives. Second, to use these stories and values to create works of art that engage the general public in diverse reflections about AI and its impact, both on creative communities and artistic notions such as authenticity and creativity.
Find the exhibition in the Atrium and the Huddle Space.
